ReliMett contains a combination of metformin and sitagliptin. Metformin and sitagliptin are oral diabetes medicines that help control blood sugar levels. Metformin works by decreasing glucose (sugar) production in the liver and decreasing absorption of glucose by the intestines. Sitagliptin works by regulating the levels of insulin your body produces after eating.

Composition

Each film coated tablet contains: sitagliptin phosphate monohydrate equivalent to 50 mg of sitagliptin and 500 mg & 1000mg of metformin hydrochloride (USP Specs)

Indication

RELIMETT is used; For adult patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycaemic control in patients inadequately controlled on their maximal tolerated dose of metformin alone or those already being treated with the combination of sitagliptin and metformin.
